Game developer Nintendo is planning to roll out a new update to its popular video game, "Super Mario Maker." The company said that the game's new free update will be rolled out on Dec. 22. Aside from the game's update, the company will also release a new feature called the "course bookmarking." The game's new feature will allow players to look for and play new courses, a report from iDigital Times said on Friday.
"But Nintendo has saved probably the coolest and most helpful new feature for last. This new feature, also coming Dec. 22, is course bookmarking. Players can go online to the Super Mario Maker Bookmark web portal and either play the randomly selected 'Recommended Courses' courses, or they can search using all sorts of different filters to find the exact type of course they are looking for. After logging in with your Nintendo Network ID, players can bookmark the courses they like, and find them ready to go on their Wii U under the Bookmarks tab," the report said.
According to the report, the game developer has released a video which showcases both new features and tools that will be rolled out on Dec. 22. It was said that the first feature that will be rolled out is the bumper.
"The patch - which will go live Dec. 21 in North America and Dec. 22 in the U.K. - includes just three items, but two of them bring in a world of new possibilities for level creators. Super Mario Maker already includes the Koopa Clown Car, but the update will add a fire version of the vehicle; the Fire Koopa Clown Car can shoot fireballs, and its charged shot can destroy blocks. P Warp Doors are visible only when a P Switch is active, so they'll give designers more ways to mess with players' minds. And the doughnut-shaped Bumper object works like, well, a bumper in a pinball game," Polygon said.
