Xbox Two and PS5 Release Updates: Sony and Microsoft’s Next-Generation Gaming Consoles Slated for an Earlier Release

Sony's much anticipated PS5 and Microsoft's Xbox Two might be released sooner than fans' speculations. Assumptions of an earlier release are becoming becoming popular as 2020 draws near, the year when the PS4 and the Xbox One outlive their prime.

Tech Times explains that gaming consoles have an average life span of 10 years before they outlive their prime and entertainment value. This number suggests that a possible newer version of the PS4 and the Xbox One might be already on the way as 2020 draws near. Sony's PS5 and Microsoft's Xbox Two might also come with the promise of 4K gaming and faster hardware that are capable of supporting virtual reality gaming.

Proof that the Xbox Two and PS5 are already on the way is backed up with the rumors that both Sony and Microsoft are already coordinating with AMD, a microprocessor company capable of creating hardware that can increase the performance of gaming consoles, something the PS5 and Xbox Two will both require. This hardware will still be capable of using Xbox One and PS4 titles, as stated in reports.

Though it may be too early to speculate new-gaming consoles from Sony and Microsoft, Crossmap feels that the shelf life of gaming consoles are starting to shorten. This is also backed up by a report that Devinder Kumar from AMD has already confirmed the development of the new-generation consoles.

Even Robbie Bach, former Chief Officer from Xbox, gave hints that the Xbox Two will look differently than the previous models. With the growing number of VR-capable devices and gadgets being released in the market, a faster, meaner and more efficient machine with streaming capabilities is indeed deemed necessary for the gaming world.

No official reports about the possible release and development of the PS5 and Xbox Two have been announced. However, fans and gaming enthusiasts are already assuming that the new consoles will be launched earlier than expected.
