Orlando Magic’s Ben Gordon Discounts Northbrook Home Price to $425,000

Benjamin "Ben" Gordon, the shooting guard for NBA team "Orlando Magic", has reportedly lowered the price of his Northbrook, Ill., home to $425,000 and might have found a buyer for the house as well.

Property records show that the house has a "contingent sale pending" sign, which means the sellers have accepted an offer on certain conditions. However, the deal isn't sealed yet.

Gordon first listed the residence in July, this year, for $475,000, just after he signed a two-year, $9 million contract with Orlando Magic.

"I'm really excited. You know, it'll be my 11th year in the league, been around a while, so every time you go into a new opportunity, it's a great opportunity. Just looking to revitalize myself; come here and assist the young guys. I think they've got a lot of great, young talent and they just need some veteran guys around them to kind of help them along the way. So, I'm looking to come in, contribute and just looking forward to a great opportunity," Gordon was quoted telling OrlandoMagic.Com writer John Denton.

The residence in question here is a 2,400-square-foot, two-storey single-family townhouse that has three bedrooms and two and half bathrooms.

Interiors of the home boast of light hardwood flooring, high ceilings, French doors and windows and spacious rooms.

Livings spaces include a drawing room, a dining area and a modern kitchen with custom cabinetry and granite counter tops.

The master suite is located upstairs, which includes an en-suite bathroom that has a Jacuzzi and shower area. A gym and a laundry are also part of the property.

Outside, the home has ample greens overlooking a pond. There is a two-car parking garage as well. But, the best portion of the house is the clubhouse and the pool area.

Lynn Romanek-Holstein of Romanek Residential Properties LLC is marketing the property.

Gordon also has his Michigan mansion on the market for $4.18 million. He purchased the home in 2009, the year he joined the Detroit Pistons. He signed a five-year, $55-million deal with the Pistons and played with them until 2012.

The mansion is a huge 13,928-square-foot, single-family, multi-winged house that is comprised of six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. Take a look at the photos of that house here.
