Azealia Banks was arrested on Wednesday, just outside of a Manhattan nightclub. Reports claim that the "Chasing Time" rapper bit and punched a female security guard after being denied entry because they didn't recognize who she was.
According to sources of E! News, Banks went to nightclub Up&Down in the Meatpacking District on Tuesday night where she left with a third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and harassment.
But as it turns out, Azealia wasn't on the guest list of the private party - although she came with an invited guest - but still forced her way into the establishment. Rolling Stone reports:
"After being barred from the private party Wednesday, Banks soon began 'screaming at the top of her lungs, cursing' and using racial slurs at the bouncers, according to the paper [Page Six]. The situation was momentarily mollified when the club's owner, having recognized the rapper, gave her a pass to access the private party, but 'once she was 15 feet inside she starts to curse at the guards again, explaining who she was, that she's on Rihanna's album,' a source told Page Six."
As a female security guard tried to eradicate Azealia Banks from the New York City club, the rapper was reportedly seen spitting on the guard and biting her breast.
Azealia's bite must have been just as bad as her bark, since the bite caused "redness, welling, serious pain and bruising to the bouncer's right boob," as reported by TMZ.
Apparently, Banks threatened to "call the cops" and even caught the attention of an NYPD Traffic Enforcement car to bring to the club when confronting security.
Unfortunately for her, Banks allegedly punched the female bouncer in front of the police, prompting her own arrest. After throwing the punch, Banks told the police, "Why are you arresting me?"
