'Teen Mom 2' Star Leah Messer Hopes to Win Custody Case With New Court Date Set

"Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer faced different life challenges this year from a divorce to losing custody of her kids. But it seems like the star is seeing a bright light at the end of the tunnel since she got a new hearing date for the case and was granted back pay for child support.

Reports reveal that it is possible for Messer to get her twin girls Ali and Aleeah back after she lost custody of the two which devastated her. Her first husband Corey Simms got the primary custody of the twins as decided by a West Virginia judge because the girls were late for school most of the time.

But it is possible that the reality star could get her twins back since a new hearing has been set which will probably happen sometime on 2016.

"Leah is thrilled she got a court date," a source revealed according to Radar Online. "She's been waiting for this opportunity for months."

Messer is hopeful that she will soon reunite with Ali and Aleeah, and she feels confident that the judge will overturn the previous decision.

A new report also revealed that Messer has just been awarded $6,000 in back child support which Simms owe her since he failed to tell the truth about his earnings.

“He had to pay $6,000 in back-pay. The court just awarded her the $6,000,” another source told Radar Online. “Leah is happy about it, [but] she doesn’t think it’s enough. They have two kids together. She still gets them all the time, so he still has to pay child support. It’s built into their agreement.”

But even if her girls are with their father, Messer can still see the girls whenever she wants to. Hence, Simms is obliged to pay child support, Wet Paint reported.

This is a good news for the "Teen Mom" star but she will end up happier once she gets her twins.
