Rumors that "The Witcher 3" modding tools have leaked have been circulating and at the moment as developers at CD Projekt RED is reportedly on their feet to probe into the issue, fans are also doing whatever they can to get a copy of the said leaked software also known as "Redkit3."
According to Design and Trend, "Redkit3" surfaced on the popular PC modding site, Nexus mods the other day. The said listing has already been removed and when you follow that link, you will find a message saying, "his file is currently under review by a moderator and is not open for public access. Please do not contact the staff or the owner of the file regarding this issue unless you are the file owner or you might be penalised by the staff of the site."
Moreover, it was reported that the leaked tool was brought together way back February, about 3 months before "The Witcher 3" came out. Therefore it is assumed that this "Redkit" cannot be utilized by "The Witcher 3," which was still in development when the former is said to have been created.
For those who are not in the loop, Redkit as a modding tool allows users to create customized worlds. Its first version is was released after "The Witcher 2." According to PC Gamer, Redkit is a powerful tool that let users easily design quests, build lands, create NPCs, customise combat and create realistic forests.
A version of this tool for "The Witcher 3" would be interesting. However, CD Projekt RED developers said they had no plans to offer such modding tool. In response to the rumors, CD Projekt RED wrote on the forums. "This is not a release of any sort on our side. We are currently investigating this issue. Stay tuned for more info. In that regard, we'll have to wait and see if this leak relates to any possible mod creation software in the future.
In the meantime, "The Witcher 3" is currently available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
