Although the Spanish film director, Guillermo Del Toro, was successful over the course of his career, his other project called inSANE had financial constraints and went out of commission. So, Del Toro teamed up with Hideo Kojima on Silent Hills - a project that seemed to succeed - only to watch it disintegrate after the relationship of Kojima and Konami broke apart.
Now that Hideo Kojima has formed his own studio, the Kojima Productions, there's a possibility that Del Toro will join him. As revealed in a recent interview, Kojima hopes to work with Guillermo Del Toro in the future, which will be either in film or in video games, as reported by Gamerant news.
As part of Kojima's "coming out party," he talked about VR, his new project with Sony, and grasped at film projects, and even hinted a future collaboration with Del Toro. Kojima stated, "I have no idea what I'll be working on with him, if it'll be a game, a movie, anime, but someday I definitely want to create something with him."
The question now is on how the Kojima and Del Toro collaboration will begin, or if it will be in a form of a new video game or a feature film. Fans will be inspired to see the two join forces to resurrect P.T. in some way, but it's not clear what lies ahead for them.
According to the report of Kotaku news, Kojima has signed with Sony, and his being finally free was welcomed by his fans. But attention was turned on to what kind of project the legendary creator and his Kojima Productions want to work on.
He hasn't revealed information about it yet, but in a new interview, Kojima stated that he'd love to work on anything with Guillermo Del Toro.
Kojima had said in the interview conducted with IGN that he and Del Toro have remained good friends, and that they "talk about working together in the future," but that there wasn't anything concrete just yet.
