It has been 38 years since the film was first released, but the fame and power of this sci-fi movie still proved to be enormous to the viewing public. "Star Wars" latest franchise of the movie, entitled "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" had its movie premiere last Dec. 14, at Los Angeles with an immense red carpet screening.
The star-studded event was attended by the biggest names in Hollywood. Stars from the movie include Joseph Gordon-Levit, Rain Wilson and Boba Fett. Gordon Levit who dressed as giant Yoda painted himself with green, Wilson as Jedi wore Jedi robs and Fett who plays as his son Walter in the movie was also spotted in the premiere.
Also present are actress Lupita Nyong'o, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamil. Budding stars such as John Boyega and Daisy Ridley were also among those who came and grace the event. Directors Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams along with star Oscar Isaac where also there to celebrate and witness the event. And of course, the movie premiere which brought back a lot of nostalgia from fans would never be complete without the Storm troopers who walked down the red carpet and were greeted by the audience with loud cheers. Some fans who have spent days waiting in front of the Chinese Theatre were also invited to see the premiere.
After the screening, the audience had an after-party lining up at Hollywood Boulevard where both adults and kids could play "Star Wars" games and grub "Star Wars"-inspired desserts.
The movie received positive reactions that spread across social media yet with the hope that no spoilers will ever leak out as the franchise of the movie shifts to a younger generation.
Currently, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" might have dominated the cinemas nationwide last Dec. 18, 2015.
