Randy Jackson Unloads Tarzana Residence for $1.9 Million

Randy Jackson, the famous music producer who was a judge on "American Idol", has reportedly sold his home in Tarzana, Calif., for $1.9 million.

Jackson first listed the place for $2.8 million. The price was reduced to $2.39 million in 2009 and upped again to $2.64 million, the same year. Shortly thereafter, the property was de-listed and listed for $2.19 million in June, this year.

A month later, the house was given a pricechopper to list at $1.99 million and it finally closed transaction Aug. 19 for $1.9 million, public records show.

Ken Margolis of Sotheby's International Realty represented Jackson in the deal, while the buyers were assisted by Alan Parness of Rodeo Realty.

Jackson reportedly purchased the home in 2005 for $2.7 million and took a loss on the sale.

The residence is a 5,878-square-feet single-family house that has five bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms. The double-storey Spanish residence was built in 1990 and has been renovated since.

The home was offered fully-furnished. Interiors feature travertine floors and exposed beam ceilings along with French doors and windows.

Living space includes a formal drawing room, a separate dining area, a family room with a wet bar and an updated kitchen with a butler's pantry. All the bedrooms in the house have en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets. The master bedroom has separate "his and hers" bathrooms with direct access to a luxury spa.

Outside, the home has a detached guest house, a pool with a cabana, an outdoor BBQ and five-car parking garage.

The listing description read:

"Beautiful Gated Custom Estate, attention to detail personified. One of the finest built residences in the highly desirable El Caballero area of the Classic Edgard Rice Burrough's area of Tarzana."

Jackson turned 58 June 23, this year. The talented musician joined the panel of judges at American Idol in 2002, but was replaced by Jimmy Iovine in 2013. However, rumors have it that Jackson is set to return to this year's panel again. Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul will also be brought back and Ryan Seacrest will also reprise his role as host of the singing reality show, reports Unrealitytv.co.uk.

News has it that "Glee" and former American Idol winner Adam Lambert will be guest judging on the singing reality show. He has replaced Keith Urban, whose wife - Nicole Kidman's - father just passed away, reports The Wrap.
