David Beckham stopped by on "The Graham Norton Show" on Friday, where he eventually found himself wielding a lightsaber as he fought off the guy who plays Finn in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," John Boyega.
Graham Norton started out by telling Beckham, "You know what would make your kids really jealous?" After David asks what could it be, Norton continues, "If you just pose with a lightsaber with Finn!"
"That would actually make them very jealous," responded Beckham. Without much persuasion necessary, Graham then pulls out the props. "I've got one, I've got one in Manchester United red."
But before anything else, Norton asks Beckham about his new role in "Knights of the Roundatable: King Arthur," a film helmed by Guy Ritchie. As it turns out, Beckham apparently has had some sword training for the film. VH1 reports:
"Beckham seemed unsure about the face-off at first, but Boyega, who's fought his fair few duels in the recent 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' was more than up for the challenge. He quickly jumped up and called out the legendary soccer player and obviously he couldn't decline."
Boyega, on the other hand, then stands up, seemingly ready to go on a lightsaber battle with David Beckham. Watch the lightsaber battle unfold between David Beckham and John Boyega in the video here.
According to Entertainment Tonight, watching his episode guesting on "The Graham Norton" wasn't the only thing John Boyega had planned for Friday evening. John even stopped by a 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens" screening in New York City for some fans.
Disney also took note of the surprise, even tweeting some photos of the event: "Did @JohnBoyega stop by your theater? Star Wars #TheForceAwakens [sic] now playing! #FinnAwakens," they wrote.
