New female heroes and villains are coming to the second part of "Supergirl" Season 1, and the executive producer has the details.
Design & Trend reports that in an interview with the show's executive producer Ali Adler, she revealed that they are planning to introduce more heroines in the future episodes of the show. She added that Kara (Melissa Benoist) might also interact with other female characters in the show aside from her sister Alex (Chyler Leigh) and boss Cat (Calista Flockhart). Alder revealed that they are currently working on a twist to Kara's interaction with the other characters.
Alder did not reveal the exact identities of the new female characters, but she confirmed that they will have superpowers. It was earlier reported that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum Emma Caulfield will be joining the cast in the second part of Season 1, and she will play the character named Cameron Chase. Sources reveal that the character is described as someone who is dedicated to law enforcement since she lost her father in a violent murder.
In the comic books, the character first appeared in DC Comics "Batman" #550 and soon got her own title where she joined the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO). Inquisitr reports that another comic book character mightappear in the second part of Season 1 as executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed in a recent event that the villain Bizzzaro will be coming to the show.
However, he did not reveal which version will appear in the show because apparently, there are two versions of the character. According to the site, the most well-known version is the classic Superman villain who is the imperfect clone of Superman, while the other one is the imperfect clone of Supergirl.
"Supergirl" Season 1 will be back on CBS on Jan. 4.
