As they say in Hollywood nowadays, a couple is not official unless it’s Instagram official, or maybe Twitter or other social media platforms.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are officially dating, at least that’s what we’re assuming over Malik’s Instagram post.
The former One Direction singer posted on his Instagram account a photo of him and model Gigi Hadid in a sweet and intimate embrace that makes us believe that they really are officially dating. The captionless picture in black and white gave us all the feels with Hadid wrapping her supermodel arms around Malik, who looks like he was really feeling it with his eyes closed.
Malik just recently ended his engagement of two years with Perrie Edwards from the British girl group, Little Mix. The former couple got engaged back in August 2013 and ended it around August this year.
He also left his boy band, One Direction, to pursue a solo career, as reported by the Mirror. He posted on Twitter, "I guess I never explained why I left , it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA !! ... #REALME (sic)" and then adding a picture of him signing contracts with RCA. Simon Cowell also gave a comment when Malik referred to One Direction’s music as ‘generic.’ Cowell said, "I think once he has had a chance to reflect on everything he will probably reconsider what he’s said because it was a very, very democratic process in the band. It is a bit rude to the people who wrote all the hits with them. And to the other band members. I mean they all wrote a lot of the stuff."
Meanwhile, Hadid also came from a recent break-up with the ex-Jonas Brother and DNCE lead singer, Joe Jonas, just after five months of dating. Hadid even co-directed DNCE’s music video for their song “Cake by the Ocean” after calling it quits.
Hadid and Malik started dating back in November, according to Independent.ie, who reported that the couple was first spotted at Justin Bieber’s AMA's after party. Zayn initially laid eyes on Hadid when she was strutting down the catwalk at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in November.
