Paula Patton, the "Baggage Claim" actress who just split with her husband of many years Robin Thicke, has reportedly purchased a home in the gated area of Calabasas, Calif., for $2.05 million.
The Real Estalker (via Variety) confirmed Patton as the buyer of the rustic modern house citing several trustworthy sources.
Property records of the home show that Patton was represented by Julie Jones of Sotheby's International Realty, while the sellers were assisted by Irene Dazzan-Palmer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
The residence is a 4,078-square-foot single-family home that has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Flanked by majestic oak trees, the residence sits on a plush one-acre lot.
The house has beautiful stone-tiled flooring, vaulted beamed wood ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows and a stone fireplace.
Encompassed in an open floor plan is the living room, a modern kitchen with a center island and granite countertops, a dining area and a family room. The house also has a music room and a children's area.
Outside, the home has open decks, a pool and a detached spa in the backyard and an arena as well. There is a stable available too. The house provides for ample parking as well.
The listing described the home as a "magnificent natural beauty" that offers enough tranquility for the soul. And especially after the split, that's exactly what Patton would need.
Robin Thicke and Paula Patton announced separation in February. In a joint statement to People magazine they said:
"We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."
Thicke and Patton were childhood sweethearts. The two met when Thicke was just 14 years old and had been in love ever since. They got married in July 2005, the same time that Thicke's father Alan passed on the Hollywood Hills home to him, which is currently on market for $2.98 million.
Thicke has been trying to gain back Patton's love but in vain. Despite his desperate efforts (he wrote a whole album for her naming it "Paula"), Patton hasn't budged. In fact, reports have it that the "Jumping the Broom" actress has moved on and already started dating musician Zak Waters.
According to Fashion and Style, Thicke is giving up now and has reportedly been telling friends that his marriage with Patton is over. An attorney is also working out a financial agreement, but apparently neither of the two parties has hired a divorce lawyer.
