'Fifty Shades of Grey’ Going for an Oscar Nomination? Will Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson Earn Spots?

Will "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie garner its way to the Oscars?

"Fifty Shades of Grey" sure took a swing for both viewers and readers of the controversial book of E.L. James and just before the filming of the next installment of the movie starts in 2016, the Christian Grey film now is speculated to take part on the prestigious award-winning body, Oscars. Certainly, actors Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are one of the most celebrated actors now after portraying Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey in the movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" but will their performances lead to the Oscars this time?

While it is no question that the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie created a massive fan base in their first run and earned serious money domestically and internationally, the chance of the film being nominated for an Oscar was debunked. Movie News Guide wrote that one of the reasons was due to the "late release" of the 2014 Christian Grey film.

Although the report may sound disappointing, Independent revealed that "Fifty Shades of Grey" actors Dakota Johnson and Rita Ora are expected to take part on the prestigious event. Johnson who portrayed Anastasia Steele in the movie is one of the presenters of the awards. While the "How We Do" singer Rita Ora who played the role of Mia in the E.L. James film adaptation will perform on stage.

Apart from this, the outlet also cite Ellie Goulding's song "Love Me Like You Do" a possibility to land a nomination in the Oscars.

Latinos Post wrote that Goulding's song may have the chance of moving forward to the Oscars as it already garnered nominations from both Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards. Although these are speculations at the moment, if Goulding's song wins in both ceremonies then it may earn its spot on the Oscars list.

The 88th Oscars ceremony will be held on the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on Feb. 28, 2016.
