It was previously reported that Director Tetsuya Nomura himself announced that "Kingdom Hearts 3" gameplay will be featured in "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue." And while "Kingdom Hearts 3" is rumored to be released in 2016, it was also said that the story will revolved around the lost keyblade masters.
With that in mind, fans who have been waiting for "Kingdom Hearts 3" for a very long time now, must have been delighted to see the new trailer for "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" at the recent Jump Fiesta in Japan for getting a chance to get a slight taste of what's to come with "Kingdom Hearts 3." According to Gaming Bolt, the new footage indeed featured elements from the highly anticipated title.
While "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" is the sequel to "Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep," it will also prepare fans for the coming of the third "Kingdom Hearts" game. The former reportedly will reunite players with Sora, Donald and Goofy in a battle against the evil Heartless, Xehanort. "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" will be released only on PS 4.
On the other hand, the trailer begins by showing Riku, Sora and Mickey in what seems to be a briefing of the mission they are about to take. The new 5-minute footage does not really give away any new information about "Kingdom Hearts 3," according to GameRant. And while most of the clip was about "Final Chapter Prologue" those who want to take a peek at "Kingdom Hearts 3" gameplay can go straight to mark 3:40 on the video. Moreover, the footage has shown a brief peek at Tangled and Hercules worlds and has revealed a new ride attack, the Buzz Lightyear ride from Disneyland.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" will be released on PS 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2016. In the mean time check out the trailer below:
