‘Game of Thrones’ News: Sexually Implicit Scenes Addressed, Changes To Be Seen in GoT Season 6?

HBO's hit series "Game of Thrones" has undergone several controversies from its episode run. The series was known for some of its shady scenes and gory details but many are appalled on the sexually implicit scenes that some of its storyline indicates. In turn to address the rage of viewers, io9 reports that the showrunners of "Game of Thrones" are now taking to account these objections and the changes are yet to be seen as the new story progresses in Feb.

As io9 specified, the scenes that received so much debate were from the incest "rape" scenes of Jaime Lannister in "Breaker of Chains" episode and Ramsey raping Sansa Stark in the fifth season. According to the outlet, Jeremy Podeswa recently opened up this issue of the HBO series in a press conference and shares that the showrunners of "Game of Thrones" are now considering changes with the series.

"The show's creators Dan Weiss and David Benioff 'were responsive to the discussion and there were a couple of things that changed as a result,' Podeswa said on Friday at a breakfast briefing at Fox Studios Australia in Sydney hosted by Screen Producers Australia CEO Matthew Deaner," based on the article of io9.

"It is important that (the producers) not self-censor. The show depicts a brutal world where horrible things happen. They did not want to be too overly influenced by that (criticism) but they did absorb and take it in and it did influence them in a way," Podeswa even added.

Although there is no official announcement on when these changes will be addressed in the "Game of Thrones," viewers are hopeful to see the next season meeting up with the necessary adjustment.

Catch "Games of Thrones" season 6 slated on April 2016 on HBO.
