Santa Clause visited Joey Feek, who is currently battling cancer. The country singer was with her one-year-old daughter Indiana during the visit, a report from Hollywood Life stated.
The 40-year-old singer and her daughter got a spectacular visit by none other than Santa Clause at their family home on December 18. Joey's doting husband, Rory Feek, was also there to witness what would probably be his wife's last Christmas and the family's last Christmas together.
Joey was diagnosed with Stage IV cervical cancer in 2014. She decided to stop all chemotherapy after specialists revealed that treatments were ineffective. The bluegrass couple chose to remain at home and to simply enjoy their remaining moments together
But even with her terminal diagnosis, the mother-of-one was all smiles during the special visit. Photos of this wonderful event were shared by the couple on their blog This Life I Live.
Rory recently wrote on their blog: "Some friends of ours from Arkansas, Dave and Nicole Trudo, called a few days ago and said that they were sending a box filled with goodies to us and that it was going to be delivered in a special way... and boy, they weren't kidding,"
The singer also shared photos with her daughter and she especially loved the one where Indiana was seated on her lap and could not stop smiling at Santa.
"When the presents were opened and his work was through, Santa found a spot next to Joey and made himself at home -- just like an old friend," Rory remembered the special event. "He said he knew our music (I had no idea Santa was a country music fan) and was a little nervous about coming to see us this evening -- not knowing what to expect -- or if Joey would be up for their visit. But I think once he saw my bride sitting on the couch and smiling when he came in, and enjoying the evening... he settled in and hopefully had as good a time as we did."
