Team Alliance Wins Over LGD Gaming in the WCA 2015 'DOTA' 2 Championship

Swedish Team Alliance dominates the WCA 2015 "DOTA" 2 Championship, bagging the $370,200 prize money.

This is a really great comeback for Alliance, knowing that the last time Team Alliance was victorious in a major event was during the ASUS ROG DreamLeague Season 1 in 2014 in Stockholm, Sweden. According to JoinDOTA, Team Alliance beat Chinese Team LGD Gaming in their home country, China. Moreover, all the odds where against the Swedish DOTA players as the championship was being held before heavily biased spectators who were obviously rooting for LGD.

Overall it was a close fight between two great teams all the way to game five, which became extremely stressing for both teams. In the final game, Alliance's Dazzle, Tiny, Jakiro, Naga Siren and Chen Hero combination over came LGD's Ancient Apparition, Clockwerk, Ember Spirit, Shadow Fiend and Lion heroes.

According to JoinDOTA, at the fifth game, victory was already radiating from the face of Jonathan "Loda" Berg as he reportedly could not hide the excitement before "GG" was called.

Team Alliance is a Swedish professional DOTA 2 Team originally founded under the name "NoTideHunter" in 2012. Currently this team is composed of five male DOTA 2 players, all coming from Sweden, namely Jonathan "Loda" Berg, Joakim "Akke" Akterhall, Henrik "Admiral Bulldog" Ahnberg, Gustav "S4" Magnusson and Jerry "EGM" Lundkvist.

On the other hand, the DOTA 2 Squad under LGD gaming is composed of five professional DOTA 2 players namely Fat-Meng Leong (aka DDC), Fan Bai (aka ROTK), Yao Lu (aka Maybe), Jia Jun Lu (aka Sylar) and Zeng Rong Lei (aka MMY)

As previously reported, DOTA 2 just received patch 6.86 that brought the new hero Arc Warden and changes to the skills of several heroes. It also brought new items for DOTA 2 heroes as well as changes in the map. It looks like patch 6.86 changes has worked in favor of the Swedish DOTA 2 team.
