Jeff Bagwell, the now retired baseball player who played his entire career with the "Houston Astros", has reportedly put his home back on the market with a $12 million price tag.
Bagwell previously listed the mansion for $15 million in 2012, but after it sat unclaimed for about a year, he took it off the market. Now, the residence is back with a bang for a lesser asking and perhaps a better pitch.
The listing of the residence lies with Patricia Reed of John Daugherty realtors.
Public records show that the home spans an area of 16,414 square feet and has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Sitting on a huge 2.46-acre lot, the residence is stuffed with amenities and surrounded my stretching manicured greens.
Interiors of the mansion boast of carpeted and stone tiled flooring, vaulted wood beamed ceilings and wide open spaces and hallways.
The living room has a stone fireplace. The modern kitchen has a center island that serves as a breakfast bar. There is a media room, a game room and wine cellar. There are four guest suites and one large master suite with en-suite bathroom and huge closet space.
Outside, the home has a two-bedroom guest house, a porch with a summer kitchen and a salt-water swimming pool with a spa. A fitness room, a putting green and a six car garage are also a part of the property.
The listing describes the place as a magnificent private estate. Take a look at more photos of the residence here.
Bagwell retired in 2007 and went on to coach the Houston Astros in 2010. He has been the all-time leader in home runs for the team and has always been a true Astro. In a recent interview with the Houston Chronicle, he said:
"I still bleed Astros orange and blue. Well, are they still wearing orange and blue? I wore three different uniforms. I don't know what I bleed, but I know I bleed Astros."
