‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ Receives Gamer Critics Support for 'Game of the Year'

“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is receiving the support from gamer critics for this year's prestigious “Game of the Year” honor for 2015, Master Herald reported.

With the many games in 2015, it is “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” which is said to receive the highest honor according to Yahoo! Tech. The report added that "Fallout 4" and "Rocket League" are their runners-up.

"A sprawling, open-world fantasy adventure fused with a tight, compelling narrative, The Witcher 3 is simultaneously epic and intimate, a truly impressive feat for a huge role-playing game. We burned countless hours searching for our protégé Ciri, battling massive beasts, playing the clever card game Gwent, and exploring every nook and cranny of developer CD Projekt Red’s gorgeous, glorious world," Yahoo! Tech wrote as they choose the game for the top honor.

Aside from that, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is said to have "set lofty goals that it actually managed to hit it with amazing direction, visuals, and story... it makes a demonstration of what happens when the player experience was made an important part of the development process as much as the game’s vision," Twinfinite wrote.

Although there are many games that are vying for the honor, many game critics believe that nothing can be the similar to “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."

"Not only was the writing and the story fantastic, but it's one of the very, very few games to get side questing right. Nothing in the game felt like it was filler content," Game Zoe wrote which is also vouching that game as the best game of 2015.

CD Projekt Red, the developer of the game deserves praise of how the game turned out especially in its first DLC expansion pack titled “Heart of Stone” which further added the best quests in the game. For gamers, the DLC expansion pack made the game even more perfect but for the developers it gave them a chance to correct some mistakes on the base game.

Meanwhile, a second expansion pack will soon be available in three versions for PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC.
