It seems that leaving "Grey's Anatomy" actually did Patrick Demsey some good.
Dr. McDreamy said that he feels "reinvigorated" especially now that he will be donning a fancy suit for the "Bridget Jones' Baby" film, instead of the usual medical scrub fans have seen him in when he was still part of the medical television series, "Grey's Anatomy."
The 49-year-old actor opened up to Entertainment Weekly about his saying goodbye to ABC's hit series after a decade of being part of it. He also shares some insight on his role as a billionaire lover (fling as you may call it) of Bridget Jones on its third installment. He will probably get Miss Jones ((Renée Zellweger) pregnant.
Prior to landing a big role on "Bridget Jones' Baby" he spent a summer of racing for Porsche and now, he is back and on the big screen at that.
When asked to reflect on 2015, he said, "It's been an incredible year. The objectives this season with the racing were achieved. It was perfect. Making the transition out of Grey's Anatomy and focusing 100 percent on the racing made a big difference. It just showed me that you have to concentrate, and not spread everything so much."
And how about the transition from the small to the big screen? "Oh, it's completely reinvigorated me. I've enjoyed it immensely. I think the pace of it is really good. Getting back to something that has a beginning, a middle, and an end...I really love it."
When it comes to leaving "Grey's", he also shared that it must have been really heavy for the fans considering he has been part of it for a long time and he was actually surprised how they reacted. However, he was also ready to move on.
The actor does not have qualms for the future, People reports. He will consider anything and would be open to see whatever comes along.
"Bridget Jones's Baby" hits theaters Sept. 16, 2016.
