Celebrity Homes: Star Wars Geeks' Dream House

With the massive success of 'Star Wars: Force Awakens,' many fans, both young and old, are going crazy over anything that could be associated with the saga. This very unique house in Eastern Australia might just blow them away.

The estate that resembles the structure of Han Solo's long lost aircraft, the Millennium Falcon, is built at the center of a tropical forest in Daintree Cape Tribulation, not in a far far away galaxy, but in the land down under. It is a 4-bedroom abode built in 2009 by Melbourne designer and architect Charles Wright.  It is situated literally between forests and mountain, so you could expect a very lush and cool environment if you live in this Star Wars dream home.

The design is so one of a kind that it has gotten the 2014 Queensland architecture award. The structure which is made from concrete, steel and glass look like a space craft altogether, and it is seemingly rising out of the lake which surrounds it. It also features a pool and three car garages.

Rod Perry, a 68-year-old retired postage stamp dealer, owns this magnificent property, and he used to live here with his wife. He shared that he only realized that it looked like a spaceship after he had seen aerial shots of the area. He shares, "My work was always in historic documents and I live more in the 18th century than the 21st but I've noticed the resemblance and other people have too - it's often called starship galactica and quite rightly so."

The couple was not planning to live here but they instantly fell in love with the place after seeing it. However, after three years of having it as their nest, the couple is forced to sell house which they call 'Akira.'

Rod regretfully says,   "She (his wife) misses the more cosmopolitan living of the city and I am getting too old to live out here so sadly we are forced to sell."

The property is priced at an out of this world price of $15 million.
