Is Sela Ward Secretly Selling Bel Air Property?

Sela Ward, best known for roles in "Sisters", "CSI" and more recently as "Stacy Warner" on medical drama "House", may be looking for a buyer for her Bel Air pad.

The Real Estalker (via Variety) is speculating that the actress may be marketing the residence as a pocket listing. Citing some sources, the blog claims that the asking price is somewhere north of $40 million.

A representative of Seal Ward told The Real Estalker that the home was not for sale, but sources say that the property is indeed being shown to qualified buyers.

The home was recently featured on the Traditional Home magazine in which ward revealed that she and husband Howard Sherman bought the house with an intention to redo it and flip it as soon as possible.

However, after they finished the renovation, Ward fell in love with the southern charm of the house and decided to make the home their primary residence.

"Sela greeted me at the door one day and said, 'Let's live here!'" I could tell she'd fallen head over heels in love with it," Sherman told the magazine.

So what did Ward love most about the home?

"I love that this space is more traditional than contemporary. It has this great stone wall and 100-year-old heart pine floors. We tried to use reclaimed materials but handle them in a very transitional way," she told the magazine.

Interiors of the home indeed boast of a rustic charm done up in wood all over - floors, doors, walls and ceilings as well.

Ward always wanted to be a free bird. In a thoughtful interview with Parade Magazine, she said:

"When I was a child, I felt I was living in a small room and there was this big world out there just waiting for me. I had such a thirst for life. I wanted that big world. Sometimes you don't know what you have until you leave it."
