A new villain and a new character will be coming to town when "Sleepy Hollow" Season 3 returns after going on a holiday break.
According to Vine Report, a new character will be added to the show as Dr. Japeth Leeds will be making his presence known in town. The character was described as a handsome but twisted man and a brooding genius as well. It was also said that the character is the greatest rival of the founding father Benjamin Franklin when alchemy is involved.
It was reported that D. Leeds will be the one who will create the new villain coming to the show as his creation will transform into the Jersey Devil. The Jersey Devil is described to have kangaroo-like features and has a head of a goat with wings that are similar to bats' and a forked tail.
Meanwhile, Christian Post reports that the next part of the season will feature divergent plotlines, and a sibling rivalry is likely to occur between Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and her sister Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood). Sources reveal that the two will be fighting over Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison). Other sources speculate that following Abbie's disappearance into the underwold, Ichabod may finally reveal his true feelings for her.
In an interview with showrunner Clifton Campbell, he revealed that there has never been a question about Ichabod's feelings for Abbie. He said that the connection between the two characters is clear and that they have unquestionable love for each other. When asked if Abbie will be able to get out of the underworld alive, Campbell did not answer directly, saying that given that there are things about the tree that was revealed in the season, viewers will realize Abbie's real fate.
"Sleepy Hollow" Season 3 is set to return to Fox on Feb. 5.
