Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Season 7 will kickoff with President Barack Obama as Jerry Seinfeld’s first guest star which will premiere on December 30 as announced on Monday, according to Variety.
The new season will give viewers some of their favorite personalities such as Will Ferrell, Steve Martin, Garry Shandling, Kathleen Madigan and Sebastian Maniscalco, kickstarting with the President of the United States. As the title says, President Obama will make a history as the first non-comedian guest star and first political figure to appear on the show.
According to Variety, the President’s episode was shot at the White House earlier this month. Viewers will get to see Seignfeld and the president driving the 1963 Corvette Stingray split window coupe. They will talk about his life in the White House, of course over coffee.
“Growing up in the ’60s my kid dream was always to be an astronaut — doing a comedy show with President Obama in and around the White House felt like going into space,” Seinfeld told Variety. “‘How did I get here?’ ‘Is this really happening?’ The president’s humor and generosity are the only reasons this was even possible. He was so easy and fun to be with. Being president and just a cool guy to hang out with at the same time made the experience my own personal moonwalk. It was an unforgettable day.”
This is not the first time that President Obama went all out for an interview. He was also interviewed by Ellen where the host told him that she was able to break his Twitter record and talking about his daily life with Jimmy Kimmel. He was also seen slow-jamming with The Roots and Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
Season seven of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” will have six episodes total with new episodes streaming every Wednesday night at 11:30 p.m on Crackle.
