The first ever teaser for "New Girl" season 5 is finally here and it shows a lot of things to look forward to in the new season.
After Schmidt (Max Greenfield) finally professed his love for Cece (Hannah Simone) and asked her hand in marriage in the Season 4 finale, iDigital Times report that their wedding will be one of the major storylines in the new season. It was reported that Cece will start to struggle with their wedding plans, particularly in looking for the perfect wedding dress. Meanwhile, Schmidt will also be feeling the pressure as he wants to give the perfect wedding for Cece.
Crossmap reports that the teaser clip for Season 5 shows Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) planning an engagement party for Cece and Schmidt. In the short clip, it was revealed that Anna George will play Cece's mother, and it seems like she disapproves of the upcoming wedding of her daughter. It was earlier reported that Peter Gallagher will be introduced as Schmidt's father, so fans should look forward to how the families will get along in the new season.
Meanwhile, Jess and Nick had an awkward moment in the previous season after it was revealed that they both still think that they should hook up. Now that both of them are single after their relationships did not work in Season 4, is it the best time for them to enter a romantic relationship again?
In other news, viewers said goodbye to Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.) when he decided to move to New York to be with his girlfriend. It was also earlier confirmed that actress Megan Fox will be the new addition to the apartment and will play the role of Reagan, who is a pharmaceutical sales representative. It was reported that she will be renting Jess' room temporarily while Jess is on jury duty.
"New Girl" Season 5 will premiere on Jan. 5.
