‘Dying Light’ Free Enhanced Edition: Techland Rolls Out New Leveling System To Strengthen, Level Up Characters

Game developer Techland has released on Tuesday, an update for its popular video game "Dying Light" Free Enhanced Edition. It was said that the developer has introduced a new leveling system that will give players the ability to improve and strengthen their playable characters, a report from Gamespot said.

"This is a brand-new skill tree that allows you to improve your character in various ways: You can increase your damage with various weapon types, stamina, health, and so on. Additionally, there are new player emblems, outfits, and weapons that are unlocked by reaching certain Legendary levels. If this setup sounds familiar, it might be because it sounds extremely similar to the Paragon system introduced to Diablo III post-launch," the report said.

According to the report, the developer has released a series of game trailers that showcase some of the best features in the upcoming Enhanced Edition update of the game. In one of the game videos, the game's Legendary level system was shown and it reveals that once players have leveled up a skill tree, they can immediately start earning several experience in order to reach the Legendary level. The said level can be reached by hitting 250.

PC Gamesn reports that the game is expected to be released on Feb. 9, "where players with the base game will receive the enhanced content in a free update."

"We listen closely to our community and hear many voices that people who did every single thing in Dying Light want more. Legendary Levels are one of the ways in which we're making the post-game content more meaty," said Maciej Binkowski, Dying Light's lead game designer as quoted in the report.

"We're adding 250 additional levels, so you can keep on developing your character while unlocking new weapons, outfits, emblems and skills. It means massive replayability. A lot of encouragement to play will be provided through the 250 Legendary Levels, which means that you can keep playing and unlocking new skills and weapons for a crazy length of time," he added.
