Korean mobile manufacturing company Samsung is planning to release several flagship devices come 2016. It was said that the company's 2016 flagship devices will attempt to recapture its market again after it lost to its rivals like Apple, Huawei, and Xiaomi, among others.
Now, the company's upcoming flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S7, will feature a "3D touch display, a USB Type-C port and a Micro SD slot" among other features, a report from iDigital Times said on Tuesday.
According to the report, Samsung's upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S7, is slated to be released in mid-March, which is exactly a month after the company officially launches the device in the World Mobile Congress 2016. In terms of design, the soon-to-be-released smartphone is expected to have a style with Samsung Galaxy S6. It was noted, however, that the new phone will have upgraded features.
Back in October, the Galaxy S7 was rumored to feature a "ClearForce" technology which is patented by Samsung. The said technology is similar to Apple's iPhone 6s' haptic feedback display called the "Touch Force."
Phone Arena reports that "ClearForce allows for a more complete list of features to be had in future smartphones with it, besides contextual menu pop-ups upon harder press, such as variable-speed scrolling, screen unlock and wake up, variable gaming control, and so on, but which of these will be implemented, remains at the discretion of the manufacturer."
"Samsung was one of the first manufacturers to experiment with new ports, implementing USB 3.0 on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S5. However, the smartphone maker went back to USB 2.0 for the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5 and other flagships released in 2015. The Samsung Galaxy S7 may also include an upgraded camera. Rumors have long suggested either a 20-megapixel rear camera with RAW image support or a 12-megapixel camera with a 1/2-inch sensor," the report said.
