LeBron James, the NBA power forward currently playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, has reportedly listed his Miami, Fla., mansion for $17 million.
The listing comes just months after James' much-talked-about departure from the Miami Heat. In July this year, James announced that he was going back to his home state Ohio.
"Before anyone ever cared where I would play basketball, I was a kid from Northeast Ohio. It's where I walked. It's where I ran. It's where I cried. It's where I bled. It holds a special place in my heart," James wrote in the Sports Illustrated article.
"If I had to do it all over again, I'd obviously do things differently, but I'd still have left. Miami, for me, has been almost like college for other kids," he added.
If Miami was college for James, it indeed was some royal college because his home is nothing short of a mansion - a palace fit for a king.
The home offers 12,178-square-foot of living space and has six bedrooms, eight full and one half bathrooms.
The double-story water-front residence is a contemporary white mansion with the ultimate luxury features like a "sommelier's wine cellar," a custom theater and a roof-top sun deck.
Interiors of the home are clad in marble and wood, while the exteriors feature open Mediterranean and contemporary spaces.
There is a 4,500-square-foot entertainment space, an infinity edge pool and a dock that could harbor 60 yachts!
The listing lies with Tomi Rose of Opulence International Realty where you can find more information and photos of the home.
James has now decamped to a mansion in Cleveland. While the specs of his new home haven't been made public yet, the neighbors are elated to have him there despite all the traffic and commotion the neighborhood has been receiving since James shifted there.
"It's been pretty crazy," a resident called Will Smith told ABC News. "There's been cars parked on both sides of the streets for a block or two, and on Friday police showed up to mitigate the chaos and the traffic. It's a bit calmer now, but there's still a pretty steady flow of sightseers taking pictures and stopping and looking."
But not only do they get to be neighbors with a celebrity but also get delicious free sweet treats. James reportedly sent the neighbors cupcakes and apologized for the entire disturbance.
