Kate Mara Selling Los Angeles Home for $649,000

Kate Mara, the "House of Cards" actress has reportedly listed her home in Los Angeles for $649,000.

Mara's cozy residence is located at The Warwick in Los Angeles. According to Zillow, she bought the residence for $620,000 in 2009 - the same time that she appeared in "Brokeback Mountain."

Laura and Brian Moore of Sotheby's International Realty are representing Mara in the deal.

Listing records of the home show that the residence is a 909-square-foot condo that sits on the second floor of the Sycamore Avenue Apartments. The residence has two bedrooms and one bathroom.

Interiors of the home feature plush hardwood floors, high ceilings and custom cabinetry with numerous closets and storage space. The home provides for a two-car parking as well.

The listing describes the house as "rare offering" with "serene and sophisticated touches of the 1928 charm". The home reportedly allows for panoramic views of the north and the west. There is a modern gym in the building too.

Mara started her career with small roles and went on to star in big flicks like "Shooter," "We are Marshall" and more recently "Transcendence."

But "House of Cards" was the game changer for Mara. Playing the role of the devious Zoe Barnes, Mara managed to capture an international audience through her performance. Mara's character was killed off in the second season of the series, which came as a shock to the audience. But apparently, Mara knew her character's end from the start and had to lie to everybody for years about her character.

"It's hard, I had to be really creative with people asking me how things were going on the show...but my family members didn't even really know. They were swearing at me...," Mara told E!Online.

Mara also revealed that she was heartbroken and terrified at the same time about her character's demise. She hopes on making a comeback though.

"I've been sort of lobbying to bring me back as a different character, just give me some prosthetics. I would do that. I would come back as a ghost too, but I don't think that's going to happen," she told Catt Sadler of E!News at the premiere of "Transcendence."
