New Lamborghini Centenario Features, Specs, Highlights – According to Winkelmann, It Might be Based on the Aventador

Lamborghini Centenario is a new limited edition supercar model that is based on the Aventador. Lamborghini boss, Stephan Wilkelmann, confirmed that the supercar won't have unique hardware, and will use the platform of "one of our existing cars" but "in terms of performance and in terms of innovation, it will be a completely different car."

Wilkelmann confirmed in another interview a couple of weeks ago, that Lamborghini will introduce a special edition supercar at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show as reported by Carscoops news.

The Urus is the third model in Lamborghini's lineup after the Huracan and the Aventador. The third model is expected to raise the sales of the company between 5,000 and 6,000 units annually. But the idea of the company is "to always sell less than demand," as the Lamborghini boss believes.

In a new report, it says that the head of Lamborghini, will take over Audi's Quattro GmbH division with Ferrari's ex F1 Team Principal, Stefano Domencicali, to succeed Winkelman as the new head of the "raging bull."

Lamborghini boss, Stephen Winkelmann, has released some details concerning next year's special model in time for the 100th birth celebration of Ferruccio Elio Arturo Lamborghini.

According to the report of World Car Fans news, Lamborghini confirmed that the company is working on a special model to launch next year. The top brass of the company has hinted that the model will be likely based on the larger Aventador.

Winkelmann has specified that only 20 units will be made. He promised that it will be a "completely different car" in terms of innovation, performance, and design.

The power of the new model is expected to come from the Aventador's V12 with around 760 hp which gives a 0-60 mph run in only two and a half seconds. The model will be named as "Centenario" and the company has started making offerings to entice potential buyers.

The price of the new model has not been disclosed yet, but back in September it is heard to kick off at $1.9 million.
