Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck decided to separate after a controversy about Affleck's relationship with the kid's nanny. But after the rift, the two are getting along as friends and will be spending Christmas together for their family.
The two will bring their kids Violet, 10, Seraphina, six, and Samuel, three to their favorite resort in Big Sky, Montana where they will stay on the rustic Yellowstone Club from Christmas to New Year's Eve.
"Christmas morning they will all be together to open presents," a source told Us Weekly."Ben and Jen want every Christmas to be a time of joy and family. They want their kids' childhood memories to still be good."
It is also their way of ensuring the children that everything is okay and will "remain as uninterrupted as possible, despite the breakup."
The family's favorite resort and destination has wood cabins, snow-covered mountains, and thick glades. But Affleck and Genner will be sleeping in separate rooms during the vacation.
Aside from Christmas, the exes also spent Thanksgiving together at their Los Angeles' Pacific Palisades mansion where Jennifer cooked for the family.
Despite the breakup, Affleck spends time between their mansion with the kids and rental property just near the house to make sure that the kids will feel like "nothing has changed," People reported.
To recall, Affleck and Garner divorced after Garner's discovery of Affleck's relationship with former nanny, 28-year-old Christine Ouzounaian. Aside from that, there are also smoking, drinking and gambling issues which resulted into their split.
But now, Genner is no longer stressing about Affleck and is happy with the kids.
"Jen just shrugs her shoulders and says, 'He can do whatever he wants!' She feels relieved that she no longer has to worry about what he is doing. All she asks is that he is a good father," Mail Online wrote.
Meanwhile, romance rumors surfaced between Affleck and Miller on the set of their Prohibition-era flick Live By Night, when they were seen holding hands. Miller broke-up with actor Tom Sturridge where they have a three-year-old daughter named, Marlowe.
