After the season finale of "Scream Queens," fans could not wait for the series' second season. More than half of the cast is new given that many were killed off during season one, but it seems even an old favorite will not be coming back.
Emma Roberts, who plays Chanel Oberlin, may not be coming back for "Scream Queens" season 2. According to Fashion & Style, Roberts said there is a big chance that her supporters would no longer see her onscreen as she has set her mind on directing, writing or producing instead of acting.
"I think as I get older, there might come a time when I don't want to be in front of the camera anymore and want to be more behind the scenes. I would love to produce and maybe write," the 24-year-old actress revealed.
Roberts added that she had the realization when she was shooting for "Scream Queens." "The American Horror Story" actress hopes she could go to work one day without having a fully made-up hair and face with outfits to match.
However, Roberts did not mention when exactly will be her retirement as an actress but if it is soon, fans will no longer see her in "Scream Queens" season 2.
The show's writers will not have a hard time writing her off the script since the very last scene of season 1 showed the Red Devil raising a knife in an attempt to kill Chanel.
Meanwhile, a recent interview with Lea Michele, who will still play Hester in season 2, added more fire to the speculation that One Direction member Harry Styles will be joining the cast in their summer camp-themed plot for the slasher TV series.
InStyle reported that Michele mentioned how Ryan Murphy, the creator of "Scream Queens," teased on a pop star she is crushing on will be a part of the second season. The "Glee" actress then said, "If it's Harry Styles, everybody better calm down."
The English crooner is allegedly going to pursue acting during 1D's long hiatus. "Scream Queens" season 2 might just be the lucky break he needs to develop an acting career.
