‘The Expendable 4’ News, Cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger,Pierce Brosnan to Join Cast

“The Expendables 4” movie is confirmed for 2017 and has started its production. The fourth installment of the franchise will surely please action movie fans who had been looking forward for the film.

Since the film is currently on-going production, news of casting is still coming in. Reports reveal that Pierce Brosnan and Arnold Schwarzenegger will be joining the fourth installment along with wrestlers and action stars Dwayne Johnson and Hulk Hogan, Christian Today reported. Steve Austin, another WWE heavyweight will also join the film.

Speculations reveal that “The Terminator” actor Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise his role as Trench Mauser. Meanwhile, Sylvester Stallone will return as Barney Ross since “The Expendables 4” won’t be possible without said character and he is also the director of the movie.

Jason Statham of the “Furious 7," who played the role of Lee Christmas in the first three films will still return for “The Expendables 4.” He said that he is very excited for the movie. In an interview with IGN, he also said that "he had no problem agreeing to be a part of all the sequels being a big fan of Stallone."

Since the film has many big names in it, no doubt it would need a big budget. It is said to have a production budget of over $100 million and will film in China since it has a large following in the country, Variety reported.

If Jackie Chan and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan accepted the offer of Stallone to join the film, the movie will be even more fantastic, Movie News Guide noted.

Despite the dissatisfying result from the third installment, many are still looking forward for the next sequel. Because of the response of the viewers and fans, the filmmakers are inspired to make the film better and to continue with “The Expendables 4.”

“The Expendables 4” is slated to hit the theaters sometime in 2017.
