‘Pretty Little Liars’ Creator Says Series To End After Season 7

The second wave of season 6 of Pretty Little Liars will be returning soon after the new year. However, a news from the creator will make the fans sad.

Although the seventh season for the thriller series on ABC Family is already on the table, Marlene King and cast have been hinting that season 7 may be the last one for the entire Pretty Little Liars franchise. King said that she would like season 7 to be the last installment. But the series creator also said to media outlets that season 8 may still be open for discussions.

Variety reported that King talked about the possibility of further seasons and even a movie at the Television Critics Association, “I think we’ll let the fans tell us what they want. We’re open to that…I’m all for it. Yes, we’re in.”

“I think that this story when we’re back will end next year at the at end of Season 7,” King told Variety.

Variety then asked, “So you definitely want it to end at the end of Season 7, and don’t want it to go beyond that?”

King replied: “Correct.”

“We just wrapped shooting. It’s amazing. We had such a good time,” she added, talking about season 6B. “95% of our crew was the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ crew so it felt like a big family. I love the whole cast. They’re all just so sweet and charming and nice and talented. We just had a lot of fun, and I think you’ll see on the screen that it was so much fun. Bella is so lovely and such a hard worker and she’s very talented. It’s exciting.”

‘Pretty Little Liars’ released a special on November 24, and it contained a major spoilers and sneak peeks as to what is going to happen in the second half of Season 6 airing on January 12.
