Even though the iPhone 6 has only been out for a month, rumors about Apple's next flagship phone, dubbed the iPhone 7, are starting to swirl.
With Apple being pretty consistent on their annual September release, it's pretty safe to say at this point that the iPhone 7 or iPhone 6S, will be released in about 11 months.
According to the Liberty Voice, some outlets are reporting that the device will be similar physically, in that it will have the same weight, 129 grams as well as a similar screen size of at least 4.7-inches.
Now, onto the interesting stuff. Below are some of the rumored new enhancements Apple may be adding to its popular smartphone as noted by Liberty Voice and Heavy.com.
Solar Powered - As a response to Apple's poor battery performance, the Cupertino-based giant may be looking at solar power to support its new device, the Liberty Voice believes. Heavy noted that the main concern for Apple on this spec is how to shrink down the technology of mobile solar-charging to fit the slim body of an iPhone.
Gesture Control - If Apple is able to pull this off, this will be a major milestone for predictive features and person-device intuition. With features of gesture controls, that Samsung has already begun to utilize in its Galaxy S5, Apple users may soon be able to use their device without making contact or physically touching it.
Waterproofed - Waterproofed devices are becoming more popular with a number of devices being granted IP67 waterproofing certification. With this reality, Apple may be looking at developing a device that will be resistant, hopefully in the IP68-range.
Holographic Projection - Although this is one of the more far-reaching features we've heard of, in a year's time, anything is possible. A phone capable of holograms would enable users to have a bigger screen for better entertainment and connectivity abilities. Heavy also noted that while this is still in the realm of possibilities, "Apple is almost never first to market with this kind of new use of technology. So until some other company dares to try a holographic display first, don't expect to see it on the iPhone 6s or iPhone 7."
These are all unconfirmed, initial rumors. For the meantime, it may be smart for Apple to address the major reported concerns rocking its recent iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus: iOS 8 glitches, device bending and hairgate.
