Will we see a different fate for Tris Prior after the movie "Allegiant" was changed to "Ascendant?"
It's no wonder that fans of Veronica Roth's "Divergent" are smitten by Shailene Woodley's portrayal of Tris Prior and many are trying to make a plea with the author to change the ending for the "Divergent" star's fate.
The third installment of the "Divergent" trilogy entitled "Allegiant" will have a sour ending for Woodley's character Tris Prior. The main protagonist and lady-love of Four will eventually "die" as the story of the "Divergent" series comes to a close. Meanwhile the fans of Woodley and Tris' character are trying their best to convince the author Veronica Roth to change the ending for the movie and not base it on the book.
But to their dismay, their hope to revive the character of Tris will no way make it alive and Roth even said that the ending for the book and the movie are the same.
"Veronica Roth boldly says that the novel will have the same ending as the movie. There will be no change at all, according to Yibada. "Since the ideas of the novel moves towards Tris' death, there is no point in making her survive. She got to attain salvation via death, and Tris' survival is going to undermine the story of the novel."
Although one thing did change for "Divergent" third part and it is the of name of the movie from "Allegiant" to "Ascendant." This change apparently was also the reason why fans rung a desire to Roth to also change Prior's fate in the movie.
The ending of "Allegiant" may be perceived as heart-wrenching especially for the fans who have known Prior's fate all along by reading Roth's novels but this doesn't deny the fact that it will make the movie more interesting and that people won't even recover soon after seeing it.
