How to Save on Gifts and Food During Christmas Without Sacrificing the Celebration

It's the most wonderful time of the year, but it's rather busy. There are those of us who are required to work on Christmas eve and so the chances of getting loved ones presents for the Holidays is slim. It's either you don't have much time or you're the frugal kind.

If you are the frugal kind, here are some ideas for your gift hunting on the last minute Christmas craze.

Deals you say? In buying gifts, Amazon has great deals for those who cannot leave their desktop, you still be able to find, some of the best deals online. Shopping malls will be busy but you can get discounted items from Macy's and JC Penny. Using a coupon will get you more discounts from Khols. Ross and TJ Maxx give out new inventories every day for your off-the-mall, off price items for selection. Other best places to be buying gifts would be Best Buy, Target, Lowes and Walmart. If worst comes to worst, you can always get a gift card. If that's not enough, you can consider giving a greeting card. As always, to the receiver it's not about how much you've spent but it's the thought that counts!

Before shopping, you can list down people you plan on giving presents to. Sort them out from the very close friend or relative to the 'I don't know you really,' kind of acquaintance. It really helps with the budget if you can estimate who you're giving gifts to and what gifts you'd like to give him or her. If your friends and family members are too many, consider having a party inviting everyone and have a secret Santa gift exchange. This way, you only have to give a gift to one person instead of one gift for each one.
