One of the most anticipated events for Christmas this year is the Steam's Winter Sale.
Steam has been very mum about the official start of their annual Winter Sale. However, one of its official payment partners, PayPal, recently revealed that the start of the sale is happening earlier than expected. According to a report by Christian Post, PayPal revealed a promotional image telling game enthusiasts and Steam fans to "Get Your Game on" on Dec. 22, which hinted the start of Steam's Winter Sale 2015.
Together with the Winter Sale update came Valve's assurance that it will be implementing new security features to protect their Steam users to prevent hacking, something that thousands of Steam user accounts experienced this year. Gamers from Steam have been looking forward for this time of the year for the much-awaited Winter Sale to avail discounts and freebies from the famous online gaming website.
Polygon shares that several discounts are already slated for Valve games such as Witcher Trilogy from CD Projekt Red, both for the Tropico franchise and the Civilization series. Steam trading cards will also be on sale as well as a comic book titled "Northpole Noir" which will be updated every day until the Winter Sale ends.
Several discounts will be available for other games for the next two weeks, according to Valve Corporation. Christmastime is indeed a celebration for gaming enthusiasts and avid users of Steam.
The annual Steam Winter Sale 2015 will run until January 4, 2016, at 10 a.m. PT.
