Famous parents, Madonna and Guy Ritchie's battle over custody of son Rocco continues.
Rocco was on vacation with his father in London but refused to go back to New York with Madonna, Page Six reports. The 15-year-old son has reportedly expressed his desire to stay with his father.
When Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Deborah Kaplan, Madonna was present at the court. Guy was not about and his lawyer Eric Buckley told Kaplan, according to New York Daily, that "[Rocco] has expressed very clearly that he does not want to return to New York."
Madonna herself attempted to respond but her attorney calmed her down. Kaplan then asked Buckley "Has he prevented the child from returning to the U.S.?" Buckley then replied, "Effectively, yes."
Kaplan then addressed the singer and director, making her smile, "I'm granting you all the relief you have requested. I'm directing the child to be returned to New York. If he wants to stay with his father, he must return to his mother."
Page Six adds that a close to the case says to the Post that the teen may not abide with the court order. "This is a 15½-year-old strapping young kid, so we'll see. The boy said he didn't want to stay with her. He's not getting along with his mom, which is not a surprise for a child that age."
Rocco will have a court-appointed attorney in the New York custody case where the teen could tell the judge if he'd prefer to stay with his father or mother. He has his own attorney in London, however.
People then noted Madonna and Guy ended their marriage in 2008 after being together for seven years. Together, they have adopted David Banda, two years before their separation. Madonna also has two other daughters with ex Carlos Leon, Lourdes Leon, 19, and Mercy James, 9.
Meanwhile, Guy has three young children - Rafael, Levi, and Rivka - with model wife Jacqui Ainsley, whom he tied the knot with in July.
