Nintendo's newest gaming console aims to compete with new generation of gaming consoles like Xbox One and Playstation 4. It promises to be on the same league with Sony and Microsoft not only in price but in performance as well.
More details about the consoles featurews and gaming power will be announced early in 2016 but as of now, Nintendo remains quite dicreet about their new console but have been few major details that are worth looking forward to in the new console.
The unreleased Nintendo NX has been licensing patents for new controller features. It will run on cloud-based storage system, the first of its kind, that is said to reduce retail costs. A patent for context aware touchscreen controls are also said to be included in the new Nintendo NX console.
The Nintendo NX is still early in the works but is surely not far from being released to the public for consumer use.
Nintendo has been known from creating breakthrough features in its consoles just like what it did with Wii and the patents are clearly of Nintendo-style as it aims to be set apart from generic functions from leading consoles like PS4 and Xbox One.
EEDAR qualitative analysy Matt Diener suggests that Nintendo should stick to their usual course of action of creating something new instead of competing with other leading consoles. "Nintendo has a history of doing things its own way, and that's partially what's allowed it to deliver excellent, oddball experiences like Splatoon and Super Mario Maker completely out of left field. When this experimentation works, as it did so well for the Wii, DS, and 3DS, it has paid dividends for Nintendo - but, unfortunately, when you take big risks, you're going to have a few missteps along the way," said Diener.
One thing is sure when it comes to Nintendo, they will once again introduce a new experience in gaming like how it did with Wii.
