Audi Features and Highlights: Advanced Lighting Technology Accessible Now on UK Car Models

As a leader in automotive lighting, Audi assured that its advanced lighting tech will be more accessible now on UK models.

The low energy and high intensity LEDs are now available on all Audi models in the UK.  The all-weather LED headlights or Matrix LED units are initially available in the form of spotlights for the new-generation supercar.

Every Audi is equipped with standard LED daytime running lights, while the Xenon plus lights are paired up with LED DRLS.

Speaking of lighting tech, the most sophisticated headlamp that is currently used on any of the German manufacturer's models is the Audi Matrix LED unit, which gives a constant high beam preventing incoming dazzling lights, while providing maximum illumination on the road.

According to Car Scoops, this technology is applied to six out of the 11 Audi models that are currently available including the all-new A4, A6, A7, Q7 and TT. All models that come with Matrix LED tech also feature front and rear dynamic indicators which sweep to the travel direction of the car. All LED headlamp units feature laser beams in some Audi models, as reported by Carscoops news.

Audi is looking into the future in developing further OLED integration, allowing the light to move freely and organically beyond the traditional 'sealed unit' headlamps of today.

While the LED headlamp looks cool, some tests done by Audi reflect a complete change in appearance and incorporate the technology that has aesthetic implications that the German manufacturers needs to work out.

The high tech Audi matrix LED headlights are now available on many of the latest models: TT, A4, A6, A7 Sportsback and Q7.

According to LED Inside news, the low energy, high intensity LEDS are now available for all Audi models in the form of daytime running lights, all-weather LED headlights or Matrix LED units.

The Audi Matrix LED unit is the most sophisticated headlamp which provides maximum illumination on the road and maintains a constant high beam without creating dazzling lights to other road travelers.
