Jennifer Lawrence on Her Struggles To Become An Actress: "I Was Literally Sharing Food with Rats"

Jennifer Lawrence is now one of the most popular actresses worldwide. Not only was she able to have a box office hit, but the "Hunger Games" actress won an Oscar. She may have accomplished a lot in her acting career, but Lawrence did come from a very humble beginning and slowly worked her way up.

During one of her interviews which was reported by Mirror, Lawrence shared that she reached a point in her life where in she has no choice but to share a meal with rats. The actress stated that she ventured New York at the age of 14, and didn't have anything with her, not even money to buy herself a meal.

"I left home when I was 14, so I was alone a lot and I was in New York and it was scary. I was raised by rats and that will toughen you up​.And I got to the point where I was literally just sharing food with rats​. I didn't really have any money. If a rat had eaten my loaf of brea​d, I started just cutting around the hole that the rat had ate."

Lawrence then added that this experience made her parents realize that she really is motivated in pursuing her acting career.

​"​It got to the point where I was literally sharing food with a rat. So that's when my parents were like, yeah, I think she really, really wants to do this.​"

As of the latest update in regards to the actress, she was spotted taking a bit in New York with the "Hello" singer Adele, and actress Emma Stone. On one of her interviews with Watch What Happens Live, Jennifer Lawrence shared that during her date night with Adele and Emma Stone, both actresses agreed to have the singer pick up the bill.

"Oh God, I don't know who picked up the check. It might've been Adele.I think we would've all been like, 'Adele, you've had a pretty good week.' So I'm sure we would've probably let her get it."
