One of the leading Android based mobile phones, Samsung is due to release their next flagship product-- the Samsung Galaxy S7 next year. However, before the said release date, there are some rumor already proliferating in the internet mentioning about some of the smartphone's surprises and weak points.
Perhaps one of the most relevant speculation regarding the Galaxy S7 are the models that may come with. Yes, aside from the Galaxy S7 model, other 3 models are expected be unveiled next year. According to knowyourmobile, "more recently reports have suggested Samsung is prepping several models of its Galaxy S7. According to the reports, two will be standard models, while the other two will feature curved displays, meaning we're looking at a standard Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7+ device and a Galaxy S7 EDGE and a Galaxy S7 EDGE+, which makes four in total."
Having four models of S7 is indeed interesting, especially that it is also being rumoured that Samsung's top competitor, Apple's iPhone 7 will also have some drastic changes and earlier launching date. However, despite expected changes of the Samsung models, critics still claim that Samsung S7 should have already fixed or even upgraded its weak point.
There are some reports that Google who owns Android, is currently working with Samsung in order to better their product. Based on Forbes report, Google is working with Samsung in order to improve its TouchWiz, a front-end touch interface developed by Samsung Electronics with partners. The current full touch user interface is being criticized by some experts dubbing it as Samsung's weak point. As Forbes reported;
"It makes sense for Google to work with Samsung to reportedly create "a non-delayed operating experience" that has a "greater fluency than iOS". That will give Android a much better reputation when the next South Korean flagship arrives with improves to TouchWiz, it gives Google input into the design process that previously delivered the Magazine UX from Samsung (something that Google was not at all happy about), and it helps keep the look and feel of Google's vision of Android."
If indeed the tech giants are working to together, then the output will surely be great. However, let us not put the bars of our expectations to high, for we might regret it when the Galaxy S7 arrives.
