Bandai Namco has announced that the 4th entry of the video game series of "Sword Art Online" will be available in PlayStation consoles. Hollow Realization will be released in PS4 and PS Vita in 2016.
According to Gamespot, the "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" will be set out in western regions. It will be available in American market some time in 2016 for PS4 and PS Vita.
When the launching of "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" was announced, it was intended for Japan market only. But now, the 4th series of Sword Art Online game will be made available for players in the western territories.
From the words of Eric Hartness, the Bandai Namco America marketing executive, he said that "The Sword Art Online franchise has experienced incredible growth in popularity on a global level with light-novel and anime fans. With 'Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization,' we're striving to take fans even further into Sword Art Online's VRMMORPG world. We hope players are ready for the challenge."
The trailer of "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" has also been released for fans to get a closer look. It is reported that this 4th series is collaboration with "Reki Kawahara, the creator of the Sword Art Online series."
IGN reveals that the announcement first came out from Jump Festa 2015. As noted, "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization," still follows the storyline of the famous manga and anime series. However, Hollow Realization is already set in a different world. According to the report, "this new environment is 'Sword Art: Origin," and seems to recall past events from the original (and much deadlier) game world, Aincrad."
Play Station Lifestyle reports that a preview of "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" had been shown during the Jump Festa 2015. It is also during this event that Bandai Namco Games disclosed to the attendees of Shueisha event that the 4th series "will not only feature a brand new story, but it's also being pitched as a great starting point for those unfamiliar to Kawahara's sci-fi universe."
