"Harry Potter" prequel, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," has officially released an official trailer giving a first glimpse at Eddie Redmayne's character, Newt Scamander, for J.K. Rowling’s newest movie.
The trailer mainly focuses on the arrival of Newt Scamander in New York on the year 1926 after completing a global tour to collect magical creatures. Scamander will be searching for the magical creatures that have gone loose in the city, The Verge reported. He expected to stay only for a little while in New York but it appears that he would need to spend more time in the city to finish his mission.
Set on a world the same as that of the most famous wizard, Harry Potter, Scamander will experience a more complicated visit to New York and will not merely be after magical creatures anymore.
During his adventure, he will meet a non-magical American citizen named Jacob, called a No-Maj instead of a Muggle. When he met Jacob, some of the magical creatures inside his suitcase were unleashed and may pose danger to the residents of New York.
Capturing the creatures using his magical powers will be challenging because the city resist anything that is magical which means that Scamander should be very careful with his operations.
Meanwhile, the movie will be the first time that writes J.K. Rowling will work on the screenplay. The prequel will be directed by David Yates and will be produced by David Heyman, who also worked with the other Harry Potter movies.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is based on a Hogwarts textbook which is also written by Rowling for the Harry Potter series. The creatures that will appear in the movie are not yet revealed but fans can expect that they will be seeing more interesting creatures in the film.
Redmayne will be joined by Katherine Waterston as Porpetina “Tina” Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Colin Farrell as Graves, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Ezra Miller as Credence, and Samantha Morton as Mary Lou, Time reported.
The "Harry Potter" prequel is set for release on Nov. 18, 2016.
