Patch 1.31 For 'Assassin's Creed Syndicate' PC Version Prepares Game for 'Jack the Ripper' DLC

"Assassin's Creed Syndicate" PC version got patched just before Christmas.

The update that was 440 MB on Uplay and 180 MB on Steam has arrived to prepare the game for the upcoming "Jack the Ripper" DLC that was made available also on Dec. 22 on PC version of "Assassin's Creed Syndicate." The patch brings fixes to recently reported issues along with game improvements.

According to GameSpot, this patch, update 1.31, is known to have fixed a problem that involves a non-playable character (NPC) disappearing after defeating a gang leader. It is also said to have fixed certain collision and navigation issues. Update 1.31 also introduced the ability to change "clothing" behavior. The full patch notes can be seen in Ubisoft's page.

As noted in the developer's page, the download size actually depends on the platform (Steam or UPlay) or the status of the previously downloaded patch. The download size of the patch can reach up to 700 MB if no updates were previously downloaded. But the download size doesn't really matter with the patch that greatly improves gameplay.

The update on PC version of "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" was intended to fix the issue that game crashes in multi-monitor mode in London, the issue that happens when changing display in full-screen mode, the flickering panel in World Map and some other render and online issues.

As stated earlier, this update for "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" was meant to introduce support for "Jack the Ripper" DLC, which is $14.99 standalone or part of the $29.99 Season Pass. In this DLC, set in 1880s London, the player gets to experience the horrific persona of "Jack the Ripper." As stated in Steam, "Play a Master Assassin who returns to London after almost two decades working alongside the Indian Brotherhood, developing new combat skills which will be crucial to survive this dangerous mission."

"Assassin's Creed Syndicate" is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
