Money, fame, abundance, interesting reputation, name it! Celebrities can easily say 'they almost have it all'. With their gorgeous faces always on the camera and spotlight, many would say they have the best of both worlds. Problems may seem elusive for these people who have a good life on camera. Well, everybody sees their glare and glamor that they are often labelled as the epitome of perfection. Although they can be all they wish to be, there's always one thing they cannot do -- to be forever healthy.
A number of celebrities has been reported ill according to Old Cat Lady Celebrity News. But here are selected five celebrities who are their own super hero in their fight against severe diseases.
Miley Cyrus
"Wrecking Ball" singer Cyrus told fans that she has atrial fibrillation, a heart condition that creates a rapid heart rate despite complete bed rest. There are 2.7 million people in the United States who suffer from this condition. Anyway, atrial fibrillation is a common heart condition which Miley is not so worried about as she believes it cannot really wreck her, does not pose so much risk in her life.
Jon Hamm
Although Hamm is a fairly unknown star until his stint in "Mad Men" back in 2007, paparazzis and fans still did not spare him from controversies about his health. Hamm has Vitiligo, a very rare skin disease. It kills skin pigment cells which damages the looks of the other parts of the skin. Virtiligo has affected few of the population of the world and nobody has discovered yet a cure for this. Good news, it's not a life-threatening skin disease. What is more, the 44-year-old actor managed to hide his skin disease from the spotlight for a long period of time already.
Pamela Anderson
It didn't take Pamela Anderson too long to be recognized by many after her good acting skills were spotted in her first television performances in "Baywatch" and "Home Improvement." She became a wife to Kid Rock and Tommy Lee in her career journey. Like Lee, Anderson is also a big fan of tattoos. It was reported that Lee had the Hepa C virus already when he shared the needle with Anderson. There was a blood-to-blood contact between the couple so Hepatitic C virus contaminated Anderson then. Anderson did not worry much about it as Hepatitic C is curable.
Morgan Freeman
Award Winning Actor Freeman admitted that he was suffering from Fibromyalgia, a chronic disorder by musculouskeletal pain that had caused pain in this 77-year-old actor's arm. The pain of this disease is intense that Freeman can no longer do a lot of physical activities inside and outside the Hollywood limelight. Such debilitating disease is something that Freeman had been enduring silently since his admission of contracting the disease in 2013. His fans never knew how painful it is for Freeman as he is so dedicated and hard working.
Cher
It is really hard to believe that singer of "Do you believe?" will have a chronic fatigue syndrome called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis at age 69. The Goddess of Pop had been suffering from pain across her body caused by this illness. Due to severe pain, one cannot sleep well, and can completely affect the life of the person struggling with this illness. Complete rest cannot simply fix this syndrome which poses an everyday battle for Cher to struggle and overcome.
