Natalie Dormer News: 'Game of Thrones' Actress in 'Hunger Games' Prequel?

"Game of Thrones" cast member Natalie Dormer just gave us major "Hunger Games" feels.

The 33-year-old British actress told Entertainment Weekly that she's interested in taking part in another "Hunger Games" movie. She dished the news during her interview for her upcoming movie, "The Forest."

Dormer praised Collins' work for her bravery and her creative imagination in coming up with stories that still reflect our society.

"So the minute I know that Suzanne is writing something, then yes, my ears would prick up. Almost definitely,” Dormer said.

Dormer confessed that director Francis Lawrence and EP Nina Jacobson are already talking about making another movie as well. However, she pointed out that she will only do a prequel or a sequel if only bestselling author Suzanne Collins of the dystopian post-apocalyptic book series will also be part of the project.

It seems that their sentiments were also heard by the film's home studio, Lionsgate Films. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio's vice chairman Michael Burns said that the film franchise "lives on and on and on" at an investor conference.

It was despite the earnings that "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" got, which is the lowest in the franchise's history. The film earned just over $100 million during its opening. He described his disappointment for having a "high-class problem" with the low-earning film.

The director, Francis Lawrence, also have the same views on having a prequel. It seems that the studio might address the "missing element" if they set the possible movie 75 years before Katniss Everdeen's timeline took place.

Lawrence added, "I’m sure if Suzanne were to get inspired and decide there’s another story that’s important for her to tell that exists within the world of Panem and whether about the Dark Days, another character, or another set of Games, whatever that could be, I’m sure it would be great. And I’d loved to be involved, absolutely.”

Speaking of Katniss Everdeen, award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence says that it's too early for her to get involved in another "Hunger Games" movie.

Dormer's latest film, the psychological thriller "The Forest" starring Taylor Kinney will premiere on Jan. 8.
