October marks the time of the year when Nike would release some of its newest kicks, including the most anticipated Kobe 9 "Elite," KD7 "Uprising" and LeBron 12 "Lifestyle."
Topping the list is the Kobe 9 "Elite" which, according to Sneaker News, will be released on Oct. 18. The sneakers will be available in Brave Blue and Military Blue-Dark Obsidian-Metallic Silver Colors. (Photos from Kicks on Fire.)
To be sold at $225 per pair, the Kobe 9 Elite will feature a flyknit construction which will be contrasted by a metallic silver branding, with carbon fiber support and Lunarlon cushioning, Nice Kicks reported.
Lakers Nation added that the newest Kobe shoe was inspired by the late Jerry Buss, a legendary team owner, whose signature poker look has been widely known. It added that the shoes' high-top model features the colors of Buss' poker Jacket.
The KD7 uprising, on the other hand, was inspired by Kevin Durant's rise to superstardom which Nike.com likened to a sprite lightning. "I started from the bottom with humble beginnings and I'm focused on rising to the top," this is one of Durant's motto. (Photo from Nike.com)
The shoe, according to Nike.com, was launched with the objective to keep Durant's lightning speed on the court. "The creative theme around Durant's seventh shoe focuses on lightning and atmospheric events. Sprite lightning, a mystery to many meteorologists, rises upwards from the top of thunderclouds into the atmosphere. Like Durant's career trajectory, sprite lightning is an uncommon occurrence," Nike added.
Aside from this, the shoe also supports Durant's fascination with meteorology ever since he was a young boy. The design of the latest shoe release features "atmospheric graphics" on the outsole of the Swoosh. The shoe will be available starting Oct. 16 at Nike.com and other stores for $150. It will come out in Hyper Jade and Volt-Black-Photo blue colors.
As for the LeBron 12 Lifestyle shoe, Sole Collector said that it will be available on Oct. 18 at Nike.com for $130. The shoe will be available in black and challenge red-black. The new LeBron shoe features a distinct look with a raised pyramid-style detailing on the sides and the heel which according to Sole Collector is similar to Nathan VanHook's Free Orbit II SP and Air Yeezy 2. On the sole, it has a vulcanized tooling and a translucent outsole. (Photos below from Kicks on Fire.)
Kicks On Fire said that this shoe will make one feel like he is the "king of the streets" because of its luxurious build. It is also expected to be one of the popular releases this month because of the mix of colors in the shoe. "Red accents worked into the mix gives the sneaker a little luxurious flair as it also takes over the bottom sole," Kicks on Fire added.
